If you are a Crafter that works with HTV (heat transfer vinyl) or iron on, you know how expensive traditional heat presses can be. If you’re like me and have tried using an iron on projects, you know they can be a bit unpredictable. Because I am in the tshirt business and have done shirt orders by the masses, it was necessary for me to get a heat press. For those who aren’t in the tshirt business this new gadget may be for you! Let me give you my opinion and review of the Cricut EasyPress 2.
The Cricut EasyPress 2 is fabulous! The EasyPress 2 is another part of the Cricut Family. The EasyPress now has a bigger family. There are 4 sizes to choose from to fit your crafting needs. There is a 12″x 10″, 9″x 9″, 6″x 7″ and the cutest one of all the EasyPress Mini which is 1.92″x 3.25″. The EasyPress 2 in your desired size is easy to learn, easy to use, lightweight, portable and like all of Cricut’s products…so stinkin’ cute!
Cricut EasyPress 2 Family Review
I have the EasyPress 2 in the 9″x9″. I think it’s just the right size to cover most designs. I do have a heat press, so I didn’t think I needed anything bigger. I do however want to get the Mini because I like the idea of using it on hats. This gadget allows you to get precise heat as well as professional results. There is a temperature and a timer. Though small and compact, the EasyPress heats up to 400 degrees F. What I like the most about it, is that it heats up fast! Alot faster than my heat press does. There is a safety base included that allows your EasyPress to sit on top of. No need to worry about burning your desk or work area. Another nice feature is that it has an auto shutoff. Although it is not included, it is recommended that you purchase the Cricut EasyPress Mat to protect your work surface. I find that it helps a lot, so if you are thinking you don’t want to buy it, trust me, you will get better, more professional and longer lasting results.
The new Cricut EasyPress 2 also comes in two adorable colors. It comes in Mint and Raspberry. They are both so pretty. I wish I would have gotten the mint color (to match) my cute Cricut Explore Air 2 machine, but it’s ok.

Easy to use
I like that the EasyPress 2 comes with a Welcome book and a material inside to do a practice project. This is when you can try it and see how easy it is to use. Here’s a photo of myself using it as soon as I got it. I was very impressed at how simple, quick and easy it was to press a design. It was pretty much a plug and play product. I set the temperature to the suggested temperature and time. It heated up within seconds and I pressed. The Cricut EasyPress 2 will let you know when your time is up to ensure sufficient time, heat and pressure for your project. It leaves no room for error or second guessing how hot or how long to press. The evenly heated plates adheres the HTV or iron on film beautifully within 60 seconds or less! The longest I’ve had to press was 30 seconds. It all depends on the material you are using.
I hope the review of my Cricut EasyPress 2 has helped. If you’ve thought about whether or not you needed this magical device, you probably do. If it’s in your budget and your crafts are iron-ons, heat transfer vinyl, fabric..etc. it’s the perfect addition to your crafting obsession. It makes crafting more fun and less errors and mess ups.
