If you follow me, you’ve seen my Cricut crafts on my Instagram. As a result, you may have seen the love for my new Cricut Explore Air 2 machine. If you’ve been thinking about buying a Cricut hopefully I can help you decide to do it. If you love crafting, this machine will help you cut your crafting projects. First off, If you’re not creative and crafty, this will help you become creative and crafty! I want to share my top 5 things I love about my Cricut Explore Air 2.
5 Things I love about my Cricut Explore Air 2…let me count the ways
1. Automatic Material Settings
This is a big deal for me! I love that it has automatic material settings. There’s no wasted material. One thing I’ve found with other competitor machines is without the automatic material setting function, I had to guess at the speed, blade setting and force. Cricut makes it easy to select the type of medium and use a dial which has the most common material. Here is a list of the smart dial settings. For any custom materials, there is a list in the Design Space you can choose from to make sure Cricut knows what you are cutting. All in all, it takes the guess work out, which means you won’t waste material.
2. Cuts over 100 materials
The Cricut Explore Air 2 can cut over 100 materials which means crafts are endless! My favorite things to cut is cardstock, vinyl, heat transfer vinyl and faux leather. My kids love personalized shirts and stickers. I love giving personalized gifts for every occasion. See the list here of all the materials to use with the Cricut Explore Air 2.
3. Quieter and Faster
I love how quiet and fast the Cricut Explore Air 2 is, especially compared to other competitor machines. I’ve had other machines and it’s definitely been a concern of mine. You don’t have to worry about waking a baby or only crafting when everyone else is gone. It also doesn’t sound like it’s going to break down every time it cuts (unlike some other machines I’ve had).
4. Variety of cute colors and accessories
Let me be honest, even before I had a Cricut, I used to walk down the aisle at my local craft store and all the Cricut machines and accessories looked so pretty! Most importantly, there were tons of things. Everything to make your craft project. Cricut makes their Explore Air 2 machines in cute colors along with matching accessories. If you’re one to match or color coordinator your craft room, you’ll find it easy to do that with Cricut. Some of my favorite accessories include the basic tools set (photo above), the Infusible Ink Markers and Pens, the Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets, the Easy Press 2, the acrylic ruler and the cutting ruler.
5. Personalized projects are endless
No matter what kind of Cricut you have, the personalized projects are endless with their machines! That’s what I love the most! I love to personalize everything I can. I love making custom shirts, gifts, stickers and even home decor! If there’s a blank spot….I’m going to add something personal to it. Paper crafts, iron vinyl, faux leather, Cricut Infusible Ink projects and more will make crafting easy.
Make homemade personalized gifts
My Cricut Explore Air 2 has come in hand for this holiday season. I was able to make many personal gifts for my friends and family. I made many gifts using images from Design Space. My little holiday gift sacks were a big hit this year. I got blank gift sacks from Target and did a holiday monogram for my sweet friends. It was simple and easy but looks like I spent a lot of time. (wink wink). I chose a design from Cricut Design Space. Customized it with the letter for each friend. Next, I chose red and green to stick to the holiday spirit. I used iron on vinyl (heat transfer vinyl). I cut the images out on the machine, weeded the images and used my EasyPress 2 to press onto my holiday bags. Inside the holiday bags, I made personalized ornaments. In addition to this, I used my Explore Air 2 for the ornaments.
To sum it up, the Cricut Explore Air 2 is fantastic. If I still haven’t help convince you to get a Cricut Explore Air 2 for yourself, just look around the internet for other crafty ladies and their reviews. It helped me to ask around as well as read what other thought. If you’re crafty and creative….you’ll want this cutting machine! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!!
